"If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.

    Our Current Programs
    1. "From Acting to Living the Way"
  • Who: This group is for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade.
  • When: It meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.
  • Where: The youth group room.
  • Why: This activity will allow children who do not sing or play an instrument to be a part of leading worship!  We hope that our acting will turn into our daily lives!  This group will allow youth to take an active role in worship, grow deeper in their faith, understand biblical characters’ faith, articulate their faith, which was the biggest need for youth according to a study about youth and religion found in the book Soul Searching (www.youthandreligion.org).
  • Details
The group will have one month to prepare for the skit.   The first Wednesday night of the month will strictly be studying the text and what it means.  In essence, it will be a Bible study.  During the subsequent weeks we will assign roles while acting as biblical characters to understand their faith in God, which in turn will help shape their faith. It is helpful for children to be present the first week of the month since that is when we will study the text!
    2. Youth Group
  • Who: Youth from sixth through twelfth grade.
  • When: Every Sunday from 12:00pm to 1:30pm
  • Why: ...why not!  It is for youth who are desiring to deepen their faith!
  • Details: Lunch is included!
  • Typical Monthly Activities
  • First Sundays: Bible Study
  • This intense Bible (not for lukewarm Christians) study will focus on trying to understand what God is calling us to do and be in the world.  From this Bible study we will choose a mission to do later on in the month (on the fourth Sunday).
  • Second Sundays: Fellowship
  • This important activity ranges from swimming, bowling, and challenges other churches/group in soccer.  It is important to be joyful with brothers and sisters in the faith.  God calls us to be in fellowship with one another!  Look at "The Scoop" for information (including possible costs) about upcoming fellowship activities!
  • Third Sundays: Where is God?
  • Where is God?  It is a question that we hear everyday.  Youth will choose a recent event, music, or movies to try to discern where God is located in our lives.  Youth are asked to give suggestions for events, music, or movies two weeks in advance.  If youth are providing a song for us to examine please include lyrics!
  • Fourth Sundays: Mission
  • Mission requires us to listen to God.  We will examine a biblical text during the first week of the month that will serve as a missional guide.
  • Fifth Sundays: ?
  • Youth decide!  Check "The Scoop" to see what the youth think God is calling them to do and be on these Sundays!
