"If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.
-Matthew 16:24-25
Our Current Programs
1. "From Acting to Living the Way"
Details
The group will have one month to prepare for the skit. The first Wednesday night of the month will strictly be studying the text and what it means. In essence, it will be a Bible study. During the subsequent weeks we will assign roles while acting as biblical characters to understand their faith in God, which in turn will help shape their faith. It is helpful for children to be present the first week of the month since that is when we will study the text!
2. Youth Group
Typical Monthly Activities
This intense Bible (not for lukewarm Christians) study will focus on trying to understand what God is calling us to do and be in the world. From this Bible study we will choose a mission to do later on in the month (on the fourth Sunday).
This important activity ranges from swimming, bowling, and challenges other churches/group in soccer. It is important to be joyful with brothers and sisters in the faith. God calls us to be in fellowship with one another! Look at "The Scoop" for information (including possible costs) about upcoming fellowship activities!
Where is God? It is a question that we hear everyday. Youth will choose a recent event, music, or movies to try to discern where God is located in our lives. Youth are asked to give suggestions for events, music, or movies two weeks in advance. If youth are providing a song for us to examine please include lyrics!
Mission requires us to listen to God. We will examine a biblical text during the first week of the month that will serve as a missional guide.
Youth decide! Check "The Scoop" to see what the youth think God is calling them to do and be on these Sundays!
