What We Believe
We believe that We are Christians only, but not the only Christians. What this means to us is that we recognize that others who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God are Christians even though they might practice their beliefs in a different manner.
How then is a Christian different from other individuals? The Christian believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; He is our Lord and Savior. It is through Him that God has made God's Self known to us. It is through Him that we are saved from our sins and receive the comfort of the Holy Spirit. A Christian wants to live a fuller life through Jesus Christ. This means that we want to follow in the footsteps of Christ and keep his commandments. We especially believe that Jesus asks us to love others and minister to one another without judgment.
Our purpose as the church is to:
Believe the Good News of Jesus Christ,
Be the Good News with one another, and
Bring the Good News to a hurting world.

How does an individual become a member of this congregation? At the end of each worship service, the minister or one of the elders extends the INVITATION for individuals to come forward and place their membership either by confession of their faith or transference of membership from another faith or Disciples of Christ congregation.
For some members, the process may be somewhat different. Some wish to participate in a special membership class prior to making their confession of faith or transference of membership. For those who have not been baptized in Jesus Christ, it is arranged for Baptism to follow the Confession of faith.

Honoring the Past, Focused on the Future!
